Step by Step Cyber Essentials
No Cyber Security knowledge is required for this one day course. The course provides the training needed to self-assess your company for the IASME and Cyber Essentials information security standards.
Run by The Friendly Nerd, this course is aimed at a non-technical audience but will also be of benefit to those with general technical skills who are not specialists in information security.
Depending on your technical capabilities, you may still need advice or help from a technical expert on some aspects of the Cyber Essentials assessment but you will be better placed to ask the right questions
The course will train you in the core concepts of cyber security and the steps required to complete the IASME and Cyber Essentials self-assessment process.
It will provide you with the knowledge to complete the self-assessment questionnaire, and the confidence to ask the right questions of suppliers and experts within your own company, to find the answers you need.
The course covers the main topics of IASME self-assessment including:
- Organisation, policy and compliance
- Risk management
- Operations and monitoring
- People and assets
- Access control
- Malware and technical intrusion
- Incident management and business continuity
The course is a mix of formal training and group exercises based on a cyber incident scenario.
